Carryover and Expiring Funds Review in ePlan (8/17/2026)

The FY27 Carryover and Expiring Funds Review data and information instrument is now available in ePlan. This instrument provides an overview and acknowledgement of FY26, FY25, and FY24 grant remaining grant balances. LEAs are responsible for ensuring that funds are spent during the grant period, including meeting carryover limitations.

Data will be provided for LEA review on the schedule below.

  • Aug. 17 (**Acknowledgement needed by Aug. 31)

  • Aug. 31

  • Sept. 7

  • Sept. 14

  • Sept. 21

  • Sept. 28

  • Oct. 1 (Assurance required from LEAs)

  • Oct. 30 (Expiring Funds only)

  • Nov. 13 (**Acknowledgment needed by Nov. 30, Expiring Funds only)

  •  Dec.1 (Expiring Funds only)

Each data load will be shown on a separate page. Most pages will be review-only and no action is needed from the LEA within the ePlan instrument. Two Acknowledgement pages require either the LEA Authorized Representative or the LEA Fiscal Representative to acknowledge that they have reviewed the data and understand the LEAs obligation requirements. LEAs must also complete an assurance that funds are obligated if the carryover requirement is not met in ePlan by Sept. 30.

The review can be found in ePlan > Data and Information > FY27 > Carryover and Expiring Funds Review

Please see the ePlan Carryover and Expiring Funds Review Data and Information Quick Guide and join us at the Carryover, Waivers, and Expiring Funds presentation at the 2026 Federal Programs Institute Post Sessions on Grants Management for more information.

2025-26 End of Year Data Reports Students with Disabilities (8/5/2026)

Dear Special Education Directors and TN PULSE Administrators,

Districts must run, review, and verify the accuracy of TN PULSE reports as part of the 2025-26 End of Year (EOY) Data Reports for Students with Disabilities. These reports are required for both federal and state reporting/compliance and must be submitted to the Tennessee Department of Education via ePlan by the deadline of August 31, 2026. Please carefully review the instructions for the 2025-26 EOY Data Reports for SWDs, which are now available in the TDOE Resources section of ePlan and in the TDOE Communication folder in the TN PULSE Resource Library, to ensure that all data contained in TN PULSE are accurate and final.

Districts will use the ePlan Data Reports for Students with Disabilities Data and Information Tool to submit and certify data. Districts will need to change the status of the FY25 Data Reports for Students with Disabilities to “Revision Started” in order to access the EOY Data Reports for SWDs. A technical application guide for this tool is available here.

If you have any questions about the EOY Data Reports for SWDs, please contact IDEA.Data.Support@tn.gov. The IDEA Data Team also hosts weekly office hours on Mondays from 1:30-2:30 PM CT, which can be accessed through the following link.
